Elizabeth López Canelas, researcher with TerraJusta, took part in this webinar in June 2020

Panelists Elizabeth López Canelas (activist and researcher for TerraJusta), Dr. Sherry Pictou (Assistant Professor in the Women’s Studies Department with a focus on Indigenous feminism at Mount Saint Vincent, Nova Scotia) and Bertha Zúniga Cáceres (Coordinator for the Council of Popular and Indigenous Organizations of Honduras), discuss how women are differently and disproportionately affected by resource extraction. Furthermore they highlight how women can offer perspectives on sustainability and community well-being.

This event was in English and Spanish with simultaneous interpretation available and was co-sponsored by Canadian Jesuits International and KAIROS.
